알코브는 우리만의 심미적인 안목으로 수집한 빈티지 가구와 디자인 컬렉션을 선보이는 20th Century Design 스페셜리스트 입니다. 2008년 운중동에서 시작해 지금의 청계산로로 이전해온 오늘까지 우리가 사랑하는 20세기 디자인과 디자이너를 애정을 담아 소개해오고 있습니다. 우리에게도 친근하고 편안한 스칸디나비안, 혁신적이고 실용적인 바우하우스, 유려하고 사랑스러운 프랑스와 이태리의 아르데코, 실험적이고 유니크 한 포스트 모더니즘, 아직은 생소한 유러피언 브루탈리즘 영역까지 알코브는 20세기의 다채로운 디자인 컬렉션으로 수집의 영역을 확장해가고 있습니다.

알코브는 새로운 발견이 있는 여행을 통해 우리만의 언어로 컬렉션을 만들어갑니다. 여행을 통해 만나게 되는 보이지 않는 이야기 즉 다양한 문화와 개인의 취향, 디자인의 문화적인 배경, 디자이너의 고유한 개성, 디자인의 전 과정과 제작의 에피소드를 다양한 채널을 통해 수집하고 기록합니다. 빈티지 가구는 시간이 지나도 변함없이 아름다운 타임리스 디자인, 여러 나라와 문화 안에 깃든 사람과 공간, 삶의 풍경이 오롯이 담긴 이야기의 보고입니다. 편안하고 아늑하게 한편으로는 화려하고 웅장하게 때로는 소박하고 담백하게 공간을 채워 주웠던 다채로운 표정의 가구는 그 시대 공간의 의미를 고스란히 담아 가구 너머의 흥미로운 이야기를 들려주곤 합니다.

ALKOV is an independent store established in 2018 with our passion and dedication to authentic designer’s furniture from Art Décor, Mid-Century to Contemporary. The Most recognized Mid-Century design from Scandinavian and BAUHAUS, French, Italian Art Décor. Post Modernism and European Brutalism added to our collection. Alkov collects and stock products with a dedication to our customer.
From our collection journey, we collect aesthetics, history, and most importantly, the story of each piece of furniture.
